From Lansing: Take Interstate 96 towards Grand Rapids. Exit 45 onto M-6 WEST bound, take EXIT 5 Byron center Avenue. Turn Right (North). From Chicago: Take Interstate 94 East towards Lansing/Grand Rapids. Follow Route 31 Chicago/Tulip City Airport by taking EXIT 34 onto highway 196. Watch for exit 41, it’s the last exit before the highway splits between the Airport and the Gerald R Ford Freeway. You want to stay right, and take the Gerald R Ford Freeway towards Grand Rapids. Take EXIT 64 onto M-6 EAST. The third Exit is EXIT 5, Byron Center Avenue. Turn LEFT, (North) Turn Right (East) at Gezon Ave/Pkwy/56th street The Home School Building will be ahead on your LEFT at the corner of Gezon and Burlingame. Clyde Park Ave. is too far.
From Muskegon (Fastest): Take 96 East Grand Rapids/Lansing to 131 South EXIT 31A. Drive with caution, Downtown Grand Rapids traffic can be dangerous. Take EXIT 77 onto M-6 West. Take EXIT 5 Byron center Avenue. Turn Right (North). Turn Right (East) at Gezon Ave/Pkwy/56th street The Home School Building will be ahead on your LEFT at the corner of Gezon and Burlingame. Clyde Park Ave is too far.
CAUTION: Downtown Grand Rapids traffic can be a headache to drive in. The S-curve, the construction of the various bridges and exits can lead to unpredictable delays and irregular traffic patterns.
From Muskegon (Less traffic): Take 96 East Grand Rapids/Lansing EXIT 38 East Beltline Ave, turn left onto Beltline (North) cross to right lane and re-enter 96 West. Take the Left fork of the split onto 196 Gerald R Ford freeway. Take EXIT 64 onto M-6 EAST. The third Exit is EXIT 5, Byron Center Avenue. CAUTION: Taking the Muskegon (Less traffic) route is MORE MILES and therefore MORE GAS and MORE EXPENSIVE. The benefit is taking the route with smoother traffic skirting the city.
